The Reggie Forward-Adjust Backband - Replacement Seat Back from Immersion Research is intended to be serve as a replacement seat back for your current 'forward adjust' backband system. What does 'forward adjust' mean? It means that the backband adjustment mechanism is found on the thigh-brace, as found in many Jackson and Pyranha cockpits. If your kayak was not originally equipped with such a 'forward-adjust' system, then this back band is NOT recommended, since such boats were not designed to withstand the pressure applied to a back band.
As with the standard Reggie and Loungeband backbands, this backband also features IR's proprietary, no-slip ratchet technology. A built-in swivel allows it to move with your back for continuous support. Made from salt water resistant hardware, this back band is designed for comfort and easy installation. The stainless steel frame is covered with foam, covered with a soft and abrasion-resistant neoprene covering.
Installation: While desinged for easy installation, guideance may be required depending upon the type of boat you have. Watch one or the other of the following videos for further instructions.
